The season runs from August - Mid November with practice starting in July. The AYL does not schedule around Fall break, Labor Day, or family vacations.

Games in the AYL are managed by the number of plays run per quarter rather than a play clock except for the 8th grade 13 year old Division which uses a traditional clock. The number of plays that constitute a game quarter will be fixed at 24 plays per quarter this year.
Our football programs are divided into three competitive levels:
We compete in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL), and provide a complete football experience to youth ages 6 to 14. Our season begins in early August and concludes with the Playoffs and Super Bowl in mid to late November. Our teams typically practice up to four times per week until the first game, and thereafter practice twice a week with games on Saturdays at various AYL field locations.
NFC - This represents the most experienced players that show the highest level of competition in the AYL. Player evaluations are conducted at this level.
AFC North- The AFC represents the largest number of players in our league. It is for more experienced players that are striving to reach NFC level of play, but not quite there yet.
AFC South - This is our entry level of play and is intended for only those at an early level of experience (1 to 2 years) in competitive, tackle football.
The AYL Football Program is for ages 6 to 14
No player in High School may play in the AYL football program
All 14 year olds must be in the 8th grade to play in the AYL

Players will be placed on rosters for their grade for the active season. Divisions will be grade and age based.
No 2 year and/or 2 Grade playdowns will be allowed without AYL Football Board approval.
No 14 year old player allowed to play down on 12 year old team.
Any player who was previously rostered on an AYL team one grade below that player’s school grade, may petition the Board to move to that players school assigned grade level. This must be petitioned yearly. Any parent, player, relative or coach who alters or modifies official documents such as birth certification, report cards, etc., in an attempt to play out of the player’s true grade will be suspended for one (1) calendar year. Re-entry into the AYL for those violations will require a majority vote of the AYL Football Board.

Base Cost $250.00 w/ Early Bird Discount offered between 4/15/17 - 04/30/0217
After 6/30/2017 a $15.00 Late fee will be assesed
Registration fee does not include Equipment or Uniforms. Information regarding uniforms can be found on the vertical menu.

Littleton Youth Sports requires a BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN WAIVER & MEDICAL RELEASE to be signed prior to registration completion and player participation.
